Coal Prospecting Interests

Dimablox has prospecting right applications in the Balfour area of the Dipaleseng Municipality in the Mpumalanga Province. Information currently available to us relating to the properties of interest has indicated the possibility of coal mineralization widely known to be associated with the South-Rand Coalfield in the Gauteng province.

The list of farms applied for include various portions of:

• Vrisgewagd 501 IR
• Kuilfontein 502 IR
• Rietfontein 508 IR
• Leewkraal 517 IR
• Vlakfontein 556 IR
• Dagbreek 551 IR
• Rietvlei 546 IR
• Springfontein 549 IR
• Rustfontein 548 IR
• Zyferfontein 576 IR

The property farms lie adjacent to the lower margins of the Highveld and Springs-Vereeniging coalfield; in an area which straddles the boundary between the Mpumalanga, Gauteng and the Free-state Province of South Africa. Previous mining in the area was conducted at South Rand Colliery. Qualities listed in literature is presented below in table 2.1.1. Coal was supplied to the Grootvlei power station which was de mothballed in 2011/2012.
